Since 2001 I have been interested in considering how we can use the web more effectively to enhance student learning outcomes. With the widespread use of web 2.0 tools in 2007 it seems an appropriate time to revise this site and to include materials to support 21st century learning in our schools. A range of online learning and teaching formats have been developed to provide teachers with scaffolded environments in which to integrate the web into the classroom. "Hotlists", "Knowledge Hunts" and "WebQuests" have all become part of the language of pedagogy for the 21st century. A brief outline of each format and suggestions on how they can be implemented in the classroom can be found here.
