Evaluation:
Building Capacity - Sharing Practice
On May 18th at Kangaroo Flat SC an opportunity to hear from year 7 teachers across the five 7 - 10 College's was provided. Approximately fifty staff from across the six cluster schools listened to snapshots of practice in regards to the learning and teaching programs operating. A summary report of the information delivered will be linked to the Cluster website.
Scale - I = Low 5 = High
Of particular interest to me:
3 teachers to 50 students (ESC)
VELS implementation or lack of..
Community activities (FHSC & GSSC)
Team teaching (KFSC)
Methods of engaging students
Personal Learning Plans (FHSC)
All programs
Bullying Survey
Curriculum initiatives
Transition from yr 7 – yr 9 and 10
How the different schools operate.
What schools have found valuable |
I would like follow up on:
Bullying survey (KFSC)√√
Personal Learning Plans
Where to from here for yrs 8, 9 and 10
VELS curriculum
How curriculum content/delivery/outcomes have changed through structural changes
Use of ICT
Ideas for 2007 and transition ideas
Transdisciplinary investigation
Schools should develop networks to work and share together as we have similar vision √
How can we incorporate transdisciplinary learning to BSSC. |
I would have preferred it if:
More time for presentations
VELS was mentioned
Real examples of curriculum content were presented along with the structure information
More curriculum was discussed. √√ |
A very worthwhile pd
