“Visions are powerful mental images of what we want to create in the future. They reflect what we care about the most, and are harmonious with our values and sense of purpose.”

Conference Welcome:
There comes a time in the life of any organisation when it is appropriate to reflect on and celebrate the past, evaluate the present and map out a preferred future. For Bendigo Senior Secondary College, that time is now.

In 2006 the college engaged the services of Muffy Hand to facilitate a process of self evaluation to identify current strengths and areas for improvement. As this process evolved it became evident that we needed to clearly define our core values, beliefs and future direction to ensure our continued relevance as a learning organisation and prepare our students for the 21st century. This is the function of the Future Search Conference

Bendigo Senior Secondary College occupies a unique and privileged place in the Victorian Education system and the contribution of staff, students, parents and members of the wider community over the two days of this conference will help shape its future for the coming generation of students.

The outcomes of the conference will connect strongly to the departmental strategic planning processes in which the College is currently engaged.

Your participation and leadership in this process is greatly appreciated.
